In Traditional Chinese Medicine the season of fall is associated with the metal element. Fall places importance on the lungs, large intestine, skin and can bring emotions of sadness and grief.

It’s now time to harvest the projects you’ve worked on over the summer and begin to focus your energy inward. As it gets cooler and closer to winter you may be spending more time indoors, so it’s a good opportunity to go through your home and reorganize your space. Remove any clutter and look through your belongings to question if you really need those items anymore. Fall is a time of looking inside and letting go, so purge your closets and donate unused/unneeded items. This will give you more space, fewer concerns around the home and help you begin a process of introspection.
